Autumn Silent Simpicity Retreat 2025 Highlights

On Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, we hosted our annual Autumn Silent Simplicty Retreat at the Mansfield Freeman Center for East Asian Studies, Wesleyan University, in beautiful Middletown, Connecticut. It was 2.5 hours of listening and quiet sitting (zazen) and walking (kinhin) meditation, lead by our guiding Dharma Teacher, Rev. G.R. Lewis.

The retreat started with brief instructions, and then altering quiet sitting with walking meditation practice. It ended with about 15 minutes of a insightful and lively discussion on the retreat experience with Q & A, and at the end, Rev, Lewis offered some valuable techniques and/or hacks for having a successful meditative practice.

Afterwards a contigent of participants went for lunch at Perk on Main, a cool urban eatery for crepes and sandwiches. It was a really great experience for everyone. Great vibes too.

Our next Silent Simplicity Retreat will in January 2026. To learn more and to enroll, visit HERE.
