Our mission as a Buddhist outreach organization is to broaden the scope of Dharma—the Buddhist teachings—on both personal and collective levels, embodying and sharing its wisdom and values with the entire world. As 21st-century spiritual pioneers, we aim to create an innovative, practical, and thriving American Buddhism that addresses the religious, ethical, and psychological needs of our generation and culture. We do this through the liberating and heart-felt teachings of Shin Buddhism, while remaining grounded in the classic teachings of Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism, the discoveries of modern science, and the biophysical reality of human existence.
