This morning a few of us enjoyed a peaceful outdoor meditative experience under an ancient elm tree at the Wethersfield Green, in historic Old Wethersfield, Connecticut on August 24, 2025
We enjoyed a peaceful 30-minute seated meditation under the the open summer sky, surrounded by the shade of trees and the spacious green. This mindfulness gathering offered a rare chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature, and community. After the quiet sitting meditation, we read and discussed an except from Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh’s book, No Lotus, No Mud (great book by the way). There was a mixed of beginners and seasoned practitioners in attendance. I was a great time and the small group suggested to redo the outdoor experience in Middletown sometime in the fall. We’ll see what we can do.
