Buddha Basics: Faith, Vows, and Practice

What are the foundational teachings and practices in the Mahayana Pure Land path? Central to the Pure Land tradition are the Three Sambharas or Three Essentials: faith, vows, and practice. The Sambharas are known as the tripod of Buddhist life. These basic tenets support our journey along the path in order to help us successfully realize our inner potential to deeply love and understand.

In brief, Faith is the conviction, Vows are the aspirations, and Practice is the method. This talk will explore these tenets and how to apply them in 21st century American life. Presented by Dharma Teacher Shoju.
