Buddhism 101: The Basics | Beginner Online Course | Starts January 24, 2027

Have You Always Been Curious About Buddhism — But Never Known Where to Begin?

This winter — begin here.

Perhaps you have felt drawn to meditation, or sensed that there is a deeper, more spacious way to relate to stress, loss, and the quiet search for meaning. Perhaps you have read a little, tried sitting in stillness once or twice, or simply felt a gentle but persistent pull toward something more awake and alive.

If any of that sounds familiar, Buddhist Faith Fellowship warmly invites you to take your first step.

Buddhism 101: The Basics

This Is Where the Journey Begins with Rev. G.R. Lewis, M.A.

BFF’s most beloved and longest-running course — offered continuously since 2004 — Buddhism 101: The Basics remains the ideal starting point for anyone ready to explore one of the world’s most profound and practical wisdom traditions.

Over four richly engaging live sessions guided by Rev. G.R. Lewis, M.A. you will explore the life of the historical Buddha, the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, meditation, mindfulness, karma, emptiness, Buddhist ethics, and so much more — all through warm discussion, guided readings, and genuine community.

But this is more than an intellectual introduction. The heart of this course is bringing the Buddha’s timeless teachings off the page and into your actual life — transforming how you relate to stress, relationships, work, loss, and the quiet question of what your life is really for.
