FEELING OVERWHELMED?

Stressed? Stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shake?

You’re not imagining it — and it’s not just in your head. It’s in your body.

We all know this instinctively. We say things like “what a pain in the neck” or feel stress tighten our jaw, stiffen our shoulders, or lodge a lump in our throats. These aren’t just expressions. They are your body’s wisdom speaking — telling you that unresolved emotional energy has found a home in your tissues, your nervous system, your very cells.

Think of it like ice cubes of frozen suffering — moments in life we couldn’t fully process or relate to skillfully in the moment. Over time, these accumulate, creating habitual patterns that make us reactive rather than responsive, causing unnecessary suffering for ourselves and those around us.

The good news? These ice cubes can melt. And when they do, your natural energy finds its way back to balance, ease, and flow.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This two-hour immersive online workshop draws from Kum Nye — an ancient system of Tibetan Yoga popularized in the West by the renowned master Tarthang Tulku. These rare and powerful practices are focused primarily on the body’s energy system rather than physical strength or flexibility, making them accessible to virtually everyone regardless of age or physical ability.

It is said that the Buddha himself taught energetic practices to help settle the body and mind — not only in preparation for sitting meditation, but as a path to living life more gracefully and wholeheartedly. These teachings have been preserved across centuries precisely because they work.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, which engages the mind, sometimes inadvertantly reinforcing our “storylines”, or conventional yoga, which focuses on the body, Emotional Mastery of Body–Mind works at the intersection of both — using breathwork, acupressure, and mindful body postures to transform emotional clutter into clarity, confidence, and peace.

These are not abstract concepts. They are simple, learnable practices — and participants are consistently surprised at how immediately effective they are.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn the core “Dissolving Practice” — a gentle, powerful technique to calm the mind and bring strong emotions back into balance
  • Experience the “Great Transformation” exercise — shifting self-doubt and limiting beliefs into authentic confidence and courage, releasing grief, sadness, and stored tension — transforming heavy emotional weight into vibrant, flowing energy
  • Discover how to release anger, fear, and resistance stored in the body as physical sensation
  • Walk away with practices you can use every day — on the cushion, at work, in relationships, and in the middle of life’s most challenging moments

These are not one-time fixes. They are life skills — a toolkit for navigating whatever comes your way with more ease, tenderness, and genuine resilience.

As a palliative and hospice nurse, Melissa walks alongside people facing immeasurable pain and loss — every single day. People often ask how she maintains her warmth, her balance, and her cheerfulness in the face of such profound suffering. Her answer is always the same: these practices.

MEET YOUR GUIDE — MELISSA LEWIS, RN BSN

Melissa came to these practices over 30 years ago and has never looked back.

Kum Nye has been her anchor. Her compass. Her daily medicine.

Now a skilled and compassionate teacher, Melissa brings both the clinical precision of a trained nurse and the open heart of a longtime practitioner to every workshop she leads. She doesn’t just teach these practices — she lives them. And her greatest joy is watching others discover for the first time just how simple and transformative they can be.

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY

“These practices help me keep an even keel — to find clarity and compassion moment to moment. i used to be really hot headed but this has helped me to avoid the pitfalls of my old patterns so I can find the patience my kids and aging parents need to feel seen and loved. I can be a better father and husband, a better brother, son and friend.” — C. Miller

Fear used to hold me captive…at work and in relationships. I could never let down my guard enough to trust anyone getting close to me. These practices gave me the confidence to speak up at work and get the promotion I deserved and to finally let love in and truly enjoy life with my partner.” – D. Platner

“I lost my son tragically and had suffered silently with depression, anxiety, and PTSD for many years. I gave up on talk therapy and thought this is “just how is was going to be”. These practices have shown me that there is a way to feel safe feeling again and given me the courage to “join the living” with a little more ease.”– A. Hubner
