Holiday Season Food Drive & Community Gathering

Honor the Buddha’s awakening this season by helping nourish others.

As we move through the season of light and generosity, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship invites you to join us on Sunday, December 21, 2025, for a special Bodhi Season Food Drive during our Meditation & Talk Meeting, starting a 9 a.m.

Bodhi Day, celebrated on December 8th, marks the Buddha’s enlightenment—a moment of boundless compassion for all beings. In that spirit, we are coming together as a sangha to support our neighbors in need here in Middletown.

Please arrive before 9 a.m. so as not to disturb the meditation practice.

Food Drive Details

We will be collecting non-perishable food items at:
Buddhist Faith Fellowship
343 Washington Terrace, Middletown, CT
Durning and after the Meditation & Talk Meeting

All donations will be delivered to a local food pantry, likely Amazing Grace, to help local families through the winter season.

Volunteers Needed

We are seeking several volunteers to help coordinate the drive, collect items, and transport the donations. They will meet on December 7th after the Meditation & Talk meeting. If you’d like to help, simply attend our Meditation & Talk Sunday gathering and connect with the volunteer team. You can also volunteer on the 21st too.

How to Participate

  • Bring a food donation on December 21
  • Volunteer to assist with collecting or delivering items
  • Join us in practicing generosity, compassion, and community care

Thank you for supporting this meaningful act of service. Together, we embody the heart of Bodhi Day and share the warmth of the season with those who need it most.

Everyone is welcome.
Let’s make a difference—one mindful act of kindness at a time.
