Take a breath, take a seat, and reconnect with your still center in a beautiful New England Town Green. From late spring through mid-autumn, we invite you to join “Meditation in the Park – Quiet Mind, Open Heart,” a rotating semi-weekly outdoor meditation gathering held on Connecticut town greens and open public parks. See our schedule for dates, times, and locations. Most gatherings will occur either in the morning or evening (after work), depending on the week’s location and weather conditions.

Each session begins with 30 minutes of silent sitting meditation. You don’t need to have any experienceo or even be Buddhist to participate—this is a human-centered practice open to all. Participants are asked to bring their own meditation cushion, zafu, or lawn chair. The atmosphere is relaxed, reflective, social, and inclusive.

Following the sitting meditation, Rev. G.R. Lewis (Senpai) will be available to answer questions on Buddhist teachings and mindful living. Some sessions may also include walking meditation and time for friendly socializing afterwards.

How to find us? Look for our brightly colored Tibetan prayer flags near a tree or shady spot—this marks our gathering place.
