Join us for a peaceful and uplifting Dharma Wilding Experience—a Buddhist-inspired form of forest bathing that blends mindful presence, gentle walking, breathwork, and deep connection with the natural world. Guided by Rev. G.R. Lewis, M.A. Dharma Wilding Guide and Buddhist teacher with over 35 years of experience, this session offers a calm, heart-centered way to reconnect with natural world, ease stress, and rediscover your sense of belonging.

What to Expect

Dharma Wilding is a slow, sensory-rich immersion in the woods that includes:

  • Mindful walking and grounding practices
  • Gentle breath and awareness exercises
  • Quiet sitting meditation (bring a lightweight chair if desired)
  • Guided reflections that help you feel connected with nature, yourself, and with the light within

Trails are generally easy and mostly flat, though there may be bumps and small inclines. May not be suitable for every mobility level. Ages 13+ are welcome. This experience is best suited for those comfortable walking on natural surfaces.

Suggested Donation

A $20–$25 donation is appreciated to support BFF’s programs, donations to local preserves, and the ongoing development of Dharma Wilding. Donations are made at initial meeting point when registering, through Venmo, PayPal or in cash at the site (cash preferred: no fees).

Weather Policy

Dharma Wilding takes place outdoors and may be postponed in the event of rain, storms, or unsafe conditions. Sessions proceed in very light rain — please dress accordingly. However, in cases of very inclement weather or trail issues, the session will be postponed. To confirm, please check the individual event post on the BFF website approximately 2 hours before the scheduled start time. If there is no update about a postponement, the session will go ahead as planned.
