Meditation on the Green – Wethersfield Green

Join us for a peaceful, 30-minute sitting meditation on the historic Wethersfield Green along picturesque Broad Street. Surrounded by towering trees and open sky, this gathering offers a rare chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect—with nature, yourself, and others.

This is not a religious event. Meditation on the Green focuses on mindfulness and meditation as a universal human practice. It is non-sectarian and open to everyone, regardless of background or belief system.

No experience is necessary. All are welcome.
Please bring a meditation cushion, zafu, or folding chair for your comfort.

After the sit, you’re invited to stay for light socializing, Q&A, and mindful conversation with fellow participants.

Look for Tibetan prayer flags —that’s your host, G.R. Lewis, a trained mindfulness and Buddhist teacher. He will be available to offer mindfulness suggestions and answer questions.

This is a free event, but a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help support our programs. To donate, visit our WEB SITE DONATION PAGE HERE.

Depending on the group, a short walking meditation may also be offered.

Weather Notice: This is an outdoor event. In the case of rain or inclement weather, the event may be canceled. Please check this page the morning, 2 hours before the event, for updates.

This program runs from late spring through mid-autumn, as weather allows.
