Our mission is informed by the ancient adage, “Entrust in the Buddha’s teachings and share his message with the world.”

We are movement of spiritual pioneers expanding the boundaries of the Pure Land teachings in order to create an innovative American Buddhism that meets the spiritual needs of our generation and culture. Following the teachings of the Buddha, we heed the call of the Great Compassion, we entrust our hearts to her embrace, and strive to embody her truth. Our task is to widen her circle of compassion by building new dharma communities so we may share the teachings with all.
