{"id":4699,"date":"2015-09-05T20:16:50","date_gmt":"2015-09-06T00:16:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bffct.org\/bff\/?post_type=ctc_event&#038;p=4699"},"modified":"2015-09-06T14:51:40","modified_gmt":"2015-09-06T18:51:40","slug":"buddhist-family-practice-meeting-2","status":"publish","type":"ctc_event","link":"https:\/\/bffct.org\/bff\/events\/buddhist-family-practice-meeting-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Buddhist Family Practice Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"resurrect-entry-content resurrect-clearfix\">\n<p>Buddhist\u00a0Family Practice is an opportunity for families with children to practice mindfulness and learn\u00a0traditional Buddhist teachings such as compassion, interdependence, and gratitude. \u00a0It follows the general Sunday practice format of the Connecticut\u2019s premier Buddhist center, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship, but in a shorter, more relaxed format, with elements tailored to children under 13. \u00a0Babies and Toddlers (with parent or guardian) are welcome too! \u00a0We try to be as inclusive as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where and when do we meet?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We meet at the Wesleyan University Campus in\u00a0Middletown, Connecticut, at the same location as the regular Buddhist Faith Fellowship gathering:<\/p>\n<p>College of East Asian Studies<br \/>\nWesleyan University,<br \/>\n343 Washington Terrace<br \/>\nMiddletown, Connecticut<\/p>\n<p>We generally meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., just before the regular BFF gathering at 10:00. \u00a0Please check our calendar for updates and to RSVP.<\/p>\n<p>Please dress comfortably and bring your own meditation cushion\/mat. Younger children are welcome to bring a stuffed animal for \u201cbuddy breathing\u201d meditation. Donations welcome: $10 per family.
