This week&#8217;s practice includes a reading from the Larger Sutra of Eternal Life.<\/p>\n<p>The central practices of Buddhism are meditation and Buddha-recitation (Nembutsu). Of the meditation practices, one of the most important practices is called <em>Dhammanusati<\/em>, the Contemplation of the Dharma.<\/p>\n<p>The practice consists of selecting a scriptural passage of the Buddha\u2019s word (Buddhavacana) and quietly contemplate its meaning. Conducting this practice over time, the entrusting heart will necessarily flower from the depths of one\u2019s being. It is said that to hear the Buddha\u2019s word is to directly connect the practitioner to the Buddha himself. Dhammanusati allows an intimate dialogue between the reader and our living Buddha nature.<\/p>\n<p>Our adapted Dhammanusati comprises 4 steps: reading, meditating, praying, and contemplating, and sharing.<\/p>\n<p>Are you intrigued?
