Our Obon\u00a0event includes the\u00a0Flower Ceremony in which participants will receive a small white or red\u00a0carnation pin symbolizing the living or deceased parents. This is an emotionally\u00a0moving experience and underscores the Buddha&#8217;s teachings of interconnectedness, gratitude,\u00a0and love. Non-traditional date.<\/p>\n<p>Participants may bring photos of the departed loved ones to be placed on the altar.
