Each autonomous fellowship is unique but shares the basic philosophy and practice-style of its flagship community, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship, located in Connecticut. Although many members do not live in the vicinity of a local NASBA Fellowship, they all contribute to the vast diversity that is the North American Shin Buddhist Association.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Below are some quick facts about NASBA Fellowships and members:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sangha Size<\/strong>: Small to large.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Member Ages:<\/strong> Toddlers, teenagers, millennials, baby boomers to very old.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethnicity<\/strong>: White, Black, African American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, other ethnic groups and none of the above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture<\/strong>: Northern Yankee, the Deep South, Mid-west, the West, and Latin American.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fellowship Setting: <\/strong> University campus, library, Tai Chi center, house, apartment, town, city and rural.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Religious Background<\/strong>: Catholic, Jewish, Mormon, Protestant and Atheist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Political Persuasion<\/strong>: Libertarian, Conservative, Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, Green to none of the above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sexual Orientation<\/strong>: Hetrosexual, Homosexual, Bisexual and Transgender.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong>: Dropout, High School, GED, College to PHd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NASBA members come from many places and backgrounds but they all share the same desire to walk the Shin\/Pure Land path and feel excited to be part of a dynamic mission-driven movement.
