Here are important details to help you prepare for your visit:
There is plenty of free street parking on Washington Terrace and Mount Vernon. Just be mindful not to park where there is a yellow line.
You will meet one of our Hospitality Navigators. These friendly volunteers are here to welcome you, answer any questions you may have, and offer directions to Sunday school and information on our afternoon classes. If you never practiced meditation or chanting before, they can give you the basics.
One of the Hospitality Navigators can help you find a seat in the Dharma Hall. You may sit on a zafu (meditation cushion) or in a chair. There is no assigned seating except for the ones on both sides of the altar.
Our Sunday morning gathering lasts about 2 hours. If you are a newcomer, we suggest arriving early, around 8:45 a.m., so you won’t feel rushed.
After the gathering, we would enjoy the opportunity to meet you. If you’re new and would like to chat with someone, there will be people scattered around wearing katas (a cloth scarf). Folks at the Buddhist Faith Fellowship are very welcoming and laid-back so feel free to ask them questions.
